Kashif still the same LAB sims?

failed today with 786, harsh! messed up the dot1x lab….LACP STP lab also asked to tag native VLAN, kept getting native vlan mismatch which makes using the console harder, new drag and drop on VLAN implementation which i haven’t seen anywhere before, lots of multi choice from TI 5.74, all in all a tough exam i think, i am ccvp, none of the voice modules were anywhere near as hard as this one..

guyss cbt nugget’s route 642-902 it’s on streaming now but it’s $1,499.00 for sucscribe one year ouch

Labs are same on diffrence was in VTP there were 2 clients connected and when u have to configure ip for vlan 1 and vlan 2 from give 3 network 172.16.1.0,192.168.1.32/27,192.168.1.64/27 and 192.168.1.X/27 there was confusion which ips to assing…must click on client pc enter ipconfig….you will get a the information which is requiered for the vlan and interface the client pc is connected.
for me had to assigin 172.16.1.2/24 to inter fa 0/1 which was connnected to router…..u will be able to ping 172.16.1.1 from client pc after configuring eigrp 65010 by advertising all connncted networks to switch

I just passed 642-813, read end-to end Official Certification Guide, got switching lab and finished it off with the certprepare.com. If you read this page, here is all you need to pass switching exam (Lab, TI Actual test D&D) but be quick, there is not much time with Sim questions, make sure you know what to do.

Hi i Just failed 642-813.
For the AAA-dotx LAB. I added the wrong IP address for the radius-server host 171.120.39.46 key 123 Instead of 172.120.39.46 key 123.
This is my mistake.But I added again the correct IP for radius-server host 172.120.39.46 key 123.
So both radius-server also existing. I could not remove the radius-server host 171.120.39.46 key 123.
I tried the various command to remove.But I could not perform.Is anyone guide on this?
So I failed in the exam?

This is my first question.I took half an hour for this LAB for my simple mistake.
So i failed.

@vasanth: it’s always the same story: the simulator is a shitty mess. While attending the 642-812 exam i had the stp lab and the simulator crashed.
Those things are the evil, they’re designed by monkeys.

i failed yesterday 23-Aug-10 with a score of 776.

i score 43% on Vlan due mainly to the design and planning questions. there was a D&D on vlan design which was so confusing.

i had 3 sims hsrp hotspot, VACL & dot1x, lacp, Intervlan routing with Eigrp.

i believe my biggest mistake was the official study and did not have the chance to go through all the dumps before taking the exam.

please learn from my mistake.

I have also downloaded the certprepare labs, but can you advise how u actually use it. I am getting an error saying “BCMSN Lab MLS EIGRP solution.pkt isn’t a capture file in a format Wireshark understands” when I try to access the file.

Yeah it works properly in my computer. I guess u don’t hv installed Packet Tracer v5.1 or above!! This file open in packet tracer simulator.

for ccnp track i recommend you to start with route,then switch and last one t-shoot.good luck.

hi first you must start with switch for the new track but if you like cbt and waiting for videos you can begin with route because cbt route is out good luck.

same lab and am used TIQ227 dumps….i got 3 D&D..only one from dumps..lab and 50% question from dumps only..other question and all not so much tough if u know the concept u can easily answer that questions…study well and all the best to all…

Passed SWITCH on 8-31-2010 with 888/1000. About 75% of multiple choice questions were from the TestInside 227 questions v5.74. There was a new drag and drop as listed about with Network Level, System Level, and Management Level. I cannot confirm that I got that right, so I won’t put any info out there. Don’t want to lead anyone astray.

Labs were from this site and included LACP EtherChannel, Dot1x AAA, and EIGRP MLS. Know the concepts behind the material and practice in labs prior to the exam so you are comfortable with interpreting the instructions given to you by Cisco on the exam.

There were atleast 3 wireless questions on my exam and they all came from TestInside 5.74.

Good luck to all. Final advice… read the official cert guide by Cisco Press, watch any CBT’s you can get your hands on, and WORK LABS!

I have just passed with 950/1000.
LACP Etherchannel confused me as the show ether sum didnt show the channel group status UP.

The switch A has a switch access vlan 98, and I didnt know what to do…type no switch access vlan 98, since its a trunk.

Although the ask to tagg vlan 1 and all other vlans, the command ‘vlan dot1q tag native’ is not available, so I gave up and nor even typed ‘no switchport trunk native vlan 1′….I finished the lab without worring about native vlan tagging requirement.

- Many questions about RSTP, refering to edge ports and non-edge ports, and what you should do if a edge port receive a BDPU…..

- Study about RSTP and understand when RSTP send TCN notification and what´s rstp behavior when a topology change occurs.

- What ‘udld reset’ command do? Is it a interface command? clear config? restablish the port status?

In MLS with EIGRP lab the scenario shows 4 subnets to be configured in eigrp, but the say for you to use the network command only for the network in the diagram. (I configured only three networks as certprepare forum lab).

Be carefull with LACP lab, native vlan mismatch make you confused and you have to be careful what to do and dont panic.

Most of the question from 60% TI 5.74, I think its enough to pass.

The questions are from ccnp 642-813 on 31/08/10 .The questions above on UDLD reset ,Edgeport receiving BPDU were also there, AAA dot1x,HSRP hotspot, IP sla with an output from a switch to state what is being monitored. vlan design and implementation.

SwitchA port 2 (Portfast enabled port)—–Link B—- HUB1

The question is:

Everybody are saying that Official guide book is waste of time, since it doesn’t cover all exam topics(it was released in february, almost simultaneously with new exam, so correlation between these two is negligible). New cisco press book is out there now, Foundation Learning guide(released in june), and comments are much better(it seems that authors took a glimpse at the real exam themes), but i cant find any link towards pdf version

i used bcmsn cbt videos it was very very good and just read ti5.74 .
i don’t remember labs i will tell you after because my headddddd .
but question are realy bulshit if i didn’t do very well the lab’s hehe i will bed dead
i think if ou don’t know the concept you will fail so use cbt’s video because video mentor suck he is very fast and don’t have the sense of humor
