Question 1

Question 2

Question 3

Explanation

The information contained in Cisco Discovery Protocol advertisements varies based on the type of device and the installed version of the operating system. Some of the information that Cisco Discovery Protocol can learn includes:
+ Cisco IOS version running on Cisco devices
+ Hardware platform of devices
+ IP addresses of interfaces on devices
+ Locally connected devices advertising Cisco Discovery Protocol
+ Interfaces active on Cisco devices, including encapsulation type
+ Hostname
+ Duplex setting
+ VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) domain
+ Native VLAN

Type-Length-Value (TLV) fields are blocks of information embedded in Cisco Discovery Protocol advertisements. Information in advertisements varies, and the TLV frame format allows for extending advertisements when needed.

CDPv2 advertises IP Network Prefix TLV contains a list of network prefixes to which a sending device can forward IP packets. A prefix includes the interface protocol and the port number. For example, Ethernet 1/0.

For LLDP Question Set 3-question 2, the answers are B and E, but for Question Set 4-Question 4 on the answers are A and D.

Basically in the first one, CDP isn’t turned off by Native VLAN mismatch and in the second one it IS turned off by Native VLAN mismatch. Something is wrong there

Q9 should read: Which of the following TLVs are valid for basic management? (Choose five)

So removed “mandatory”… Of the mentioned TLVs only 5 are valid (and optional).

Q9 would be correct if the word mandatory were not there.

The switch supports the following basic management TLVs, which are optional:

    •Port description TLV

    •System name TLV

    •System description TLV

    •System capabilities TLV

    • Management address TLV

These organizationally specific LLDP TLVs are also advertised to support LLDP-MED.

•Port VLAN ID TLV ((IEEE 802.1 organizationally specific TLVs)

    •MAC/PHY configuration/status TLV(IEEE 802.3 organizationally specific TLVs)
