hello i passde my route (2008) & now i pass my switch (2011) …….when should i give t-shoot exam ? …..so i have 3 years of time to give t-shoot exam i.e (till 2014)

@sam. unless you complete all three exams, you’ll not have a CCNP certification. so if you need this certification for job, say, then i suggest you don’t wait till 3 years before writing TSHOOT. start now!!

i has read pass4sure v6.8 with 497 questions, it has devide in 5 Topic : vlan, intervlan routing, security switch, Redundancy, Voice&wireless and mixed. I wonder what is mixed, because i see that has a lot of question that not appeare at these topic and no answer. Who can tell me it neccessary to study these question. These question is so difficult and more question about voice &wireless. Please help me, a have a week to get CCNP_switch. I have already study all topic, but mixed question I can’t study. Please . you should study Topic 6, it is different from the others. and also must of the exam questions from it.
Anyway there is a lot of people in this website saying that we can skip topic 4 (wireless and voip)

had paper yesterday and missed it by 50 marks…. was stucked in lacp in stp sim… can anybody plz explain dis sim to me briefly with 100% commands…. coz i goin to retake dis paper and it is on 8 of july… HELP ME OUT

Sat exam on the 2nd July and just about scrapped through with a pass , (792) i was sure i failed , i ran out of time and my last question 50 was the AAAdot1x lab which i got zero for even though i completed the 1st half of it , as i didnt hit the finsh button, so heres a tip if you run out of time on a lab make sure you hit the finsh button otherwise you get 0 !

i found this to be the toughest exam yet , i used the pass4sure v7.0 and attened training 2 weeks ago .. GOOD Luck all and thanks for all the help !! great stuff ..

PS rearding the wirless and VOIP, you can expect one question on each , for the wireless you need to undertstand the difference between configuring a full autonomous AP as apposed to a lightweight i.e trunk port / access port .

For the VOIP you need to understand where the trust boundary is configured and why .. thats prity much it !

Is there any time limit to complete all three exams for the CCNP?

Hi All!

Those of you who have sat the Switch exam, do you still need to type the commands in full rather than short hand? I remember when I took my CCNA I got told that if I used the short commands, I wouldn’t get the credit on the exam even though it would work in the real world!!
Any help you can offer would be appreciated!

I passed my CCNP Route this July. I do know that Cisco ships CCNP certificate only on passing all 3 modules. But I want to prepare well and give SWITCH and TSHOOT exams later.

so is there any due date for my CCNP route’s validity? How long is one permitted to take to complete his CCNP (all 3) exam?

it is valid till three years. you need to give all papers with in 3 years to get your certification.

you could take any new 642-XXX Professional level exam, and recertify 3 year more

CCNP Recertification

Cisco professional level certifications (CCNP, CCNP Wireless, CCDP, CCSP, CCNP Voice, and CCIP) are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:
•Pass any current 642-XXX Professional level exam, or
•Pass any current CCIE Written Exam,
•Pass the current CCDE Written Exam, or CCDE Practical Exam, or
•Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications.

Tell me if I have taken my first exam from CCNP track e.g Switch on 1st January 2011, do I have to take Route “AND” TSHOOT before 1st January 2014?
I thought, I can take Route before 1st january 2014 and that will extend it fo another 3 years then I will have till 1st January 2017 to finish my TSHOOT.
